Why men's skin is different
Maybe your man secretly uses your face cream. Or he's never smeared anything on his face before and you're just surprised how that's possible. Men's skin is markedly different from a woman's. Men's skin is about 20% thicker and contains more collagen than women's skin. As a result, men are less likely to get wrinkles than women. But once they do get wrinkles, they tend to be deeper wrinkles. Men have more sebaceous glands and more (and often coarser) pores than women. So they produce more sebum, which means their skin is often oilier than women's skin. Due to the combination of coarse pores and more sebum, men are more prone to blemishes. Men's skin does lack moisture faster, which is because men's sweat production is higher. Your Face cream will soon be too heavy for men's skin. But it could probably use moisture. And maybe also a boost of antioxidants against dull skin.
And did you know that men have more nerve endings in their skin than women? Added to this, their subcutaneous fat layer is less thick, making them more responsive to stimuli and more sensitive to pain. .
Hyaluronic acid for extra moisture
We all have hyaluronic acid in our bodies. Our body makes it itself. In your skin, hyaluronic acid molecules provide moisture to your skin. But unfortunately, your body produces less and less hyaluronic acid as you get older. By the time you are 40, there is only 50% of the amount of hyaluronic acid left in your body. It is precisely the top layer of your skin that loses the most hyaluronic acid with age. And this is reflected in duller skin, drier skin, fine lines and wrinkles, even in men.
A boost of coffee and liquorice
The Loveli.men Face cream contains the extract of coffee. This is because caffeine contains many antioxidants that inhibit ageing of the skin. And it makes sure your skin is well supplied with blood, which gives dull skin an instant boost.
Good to know
- Face cream is best suited for dehydrated skin.
- Ideal for men, as men's skin is different from women's. So the cream is a bit less creamy and absorbs a bit faster. And therefore more suitable for the oilier skin that men often have.
- The tube is made of bioplastic extracted from sugar cane. When the tube is empty, you can dispose of it entirely in the plastic waste. Then it can be completely recycled.
- The tubes are not sealed! Because the cap completely seals the tube, Loveli has chosen to omit the seal for environmental reasons.
- The Loveli.men Face cream is completely vegan.

Use the face cream on clean skin. Ideally, wash your skin first with the Loveli.men Face wash and refresh with the Loveli.men Face mist.

- Aqua: Distilled or deionised water is used to dissolve other ingredients and gives products a fine texture.
- Corylus Avellana Seed Oil: Hazelnut oil is a light, nourishing oil that is quickly absorbed by the skin. Rich in vitamin E and essential fatty acids, it helps moisturise and soften skin without leaving an oily feeling.
- Butyrospermum Parkii Butter: Shea butter is made from the nuts of the shea tree and is also known as 'the tree of life'. The shea tree grows in central Africa. Shea butter is moisturising and makes the skin supple and elastic. This butter is very suitable for dry, irritated and/or (eczema) sensitive skin.
- Methyl Glucose Sesquistearate: Natural emulsifier derived from corn sugar. Polyethylene glycol (PEG) is sometimes used in obtaining this ingredient. Our methyl glucose sesquistearate is PEG-free and thus completely junk-free ;-).
- Glycerin: Our glycerin is plant-based and produced from coconut oil. Glycerin helps retain moisture.
- Cetyl Alcohol: Is extracted from coconuts and acts as an emulsifier and thickener. It works super-hydrating and does not irritate the skin. Basically everything you don't expect from an alcohol ;-).
- Sodium Hyaluronate: Hyaluronic acid occurs naturally in our skin and is a real hydration booster. It is very strong moisturiser and retains moisture in the skin, filling in fine lines and making them less visible. Suitable for all skin types, but extra good for dehydrated skin.
- Squalane: Squalane is actually not an oil, but the active ingredient from olive oil. It is absorbed very well by the skin and makes the skin soft, smooth and supple. Squalane does not leave your skin feeling greasy and fine for all skin types, including sensitive skin.
- Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil: Sunflower oil is a good antioxidant.
- Microcrystalline Cellulose: A natural thickening agent made of plant fibres. It is used to improve texture.
- Cellulose Gum: A natural thickening agent of plant fibres. It is used to improve texture. It also helps retain moisture, which contributes to hydration.
- Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf Oil: Eucalyptus essential oil has an uplifting effect. The oil reduces itching, redness and irritation and has a cooling and skin repairing effect.
- Coffea Arabica Fruit Extract: The coffee cherry extract is made from the Coffea Arabica plant and is packed with antioxidants.
- Tocopherol: Tocopherol or vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant and acts as a preservative.
- Citric Acid: Citric acid is used to lower the pH level to an ideal level for your skin. It also acts as a natural preservative.
- Sodium Lactate: Sodium lactate helps prevent water loss and gives a feeling of elasticity.
- Sodium Levulinate: Preservative made from rowan berry, corn, anise and fennel.
- Sodium Anisate: Preservative made from rowan berry, corn, anise and fennel.
- Sodium Phytate: Stabiliser in salt form derived from phytic acid (found in nuts, seeds, grains and legumes).
- Rosmarinus Officinalis Leaf Oil: Rosemary essential oil has a refreshing and uplifting effect. The oil stimulates circulation, helps repair the skin and has a purifying effect. It can give the skin a healthy glow.
