Beesha Shampoo Bar - Lavender
Want to try it first? Then order the trial pack here.
This Shampoo Bar contains Vitamin B5 and vegetable Keratin. Vitamin B5 has moisturising properties (retains moisture and prevents dehydration). It adheres well to hair follicles and makes hair smoother and easier to comb. Keratin is known to condition and maintain hair. It repairs where needed and gives a healthy shine to your hair. It is suitable for any type of hair. Its pH is 5.5, the same as your hair.
The smell of lavender is often described as floral, spicy and slightly sweet. It has a distinctive scent that many people find soothing and relaxing. The smell of lavender comes from the volatile oils present in the flowers of the lavender plant. These oils contain compounds responsible for the characteristic scent. The scent of lavender is often used in aromatherapy. Because of the purple pigments, this bar is also suitable for grey and blonde hair.
Shampoo Bars are an all-natural shampoo in a solid form. A normal bottle of shampoo consists mostly of water, a Shampoo Bar consists only of the active ingredients. Our Shampoo Bars are specially formulated with natural vegetable oils, coconut butter and essential oils that nourish your hair and scalp. With 1 Shampoo Bar of 65 grams you can wash your hair an average of 70-80 times, which is roughly equivalent to 2-3 bottles of shampoo.

Why is a Conditioner Bar important?
When you wash your hair, your hair cuticles open up. It is just important to close those cuticles again after a wash. Not only to make it less frizzy, but also to protect it from external influences. After all, your hair is very vulnerable when the cuticles are open. A Conditioner Bar closes the cuticles and makes it easy to comb.
Use
Make sure your hair and hands are wet. Then you can lather the Shampoo Bar by rubbing it between your hands or by rubbing the Shampoo Bar directly into wet hair. Massage the lather into your hair. Finally, rinse your hair.
Tips
RINSE YOUR HAIR WITH COLD/WARM WATER
We know especially spicy in winter. But cold/warm water makes your hair cuticles close. And this, in turn, makes your hair less frizzy and dull.
USE HAIR OIL FOR DRY HAIR
Do you have porous or dry hair? Then it may help to use hair oil before combing. Do not use too much as it will become too oily again, often spreading a few drops on the ends is enough. You can use good olive oil or, for example, Argan oil for this.
What is the best way to store a shampoo bar?
To keep your shampoo bar in good condition and to use it for as long as possible, it is best to store it in a dry -not warm- place in the bathroom. You can use a soap dish for this or a clean, dry flannel. As long as it's a dry place. This way, the moisture won't soak into the soap bar and it won't fall apart after a few uses.
Frequently asked questions
What are the benefits of our Beesha Shampoo Bar and Conditioner bar?
All our products are free of Silicones, Sulphates and Parabens. We also do not use any animal products and are not tested on animals. Our products are therefore all Vegan as well. Our products contain only the ingredients you need without any junk.
I never use a Conditioner. Why is a Conditioner Bar important? When you wash your hair, your hair cuticles open up. It's just important to close those hair cuticles again after a wash. Not only to make it less frizzy, but also to protect it from external influences. After all, your hair is very vulnerable when the cuticles are open. A Conditioner Bar lets the hair cuticles close.
The pH value of our Shampoo Bars are between 5.5-6.0. This equals the pH value of your hair. So you don't need to rinse with vinegar.
Which shampoo is suitable for this?
All our Beesha Shampoo Bars and Conditioner Bars are suitable for this. Skin flakes occur because the oils on your scalp are affected. The sebaceous glands regulate the balance on your scalp. Certain products can be very aggressive and invade the skin. They remove the natural oils from the skin and cause flaking or itching and irritation.
The main causes of dry skin are sulphates such as Sodium Coco Sulfate (SCS) or Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS). These are in many liquid shampoos and in some brands of Shampoo Bars. These are incredibly aggressive and penetrate the skin. They are also super degreasers. They strip the natural oils from your (head) skin.
Our shampoo and conditioners are sulphate-free and keep the oils on the skin alone. You may find that because your skin can be very dry at the moment, your skin needs some time to get used to a Shampoo Bar. The sebaceous glands will pick this up on their own. This may take a few days to 10 days or so. But for most people, it goes right away and has an immediate effect.
So you can feel free to choose on your hair type. We may have trial packs in the range if you want to try it. With 1 pack you can wash your hair an average of 10-15 times. Enough to see whether the product suits you.
We use Vitamin B5, Vegetable Keratin, Wheat and Rice protein. Each has its own property. It's just what your hair needs.
- Vitamin B5 has moisturising properties (retains moisture and prevents dehydration). It adheres well to hair follicles and makes hair smoother and easier to comb.
-Plant Keratin is known to condition and maintain hair. It repairs where needed and gives a healthy shine to your hair. Our Keratin is 100% plant-based. It is a combination of corn, soy and wheat proteins.
-Wheatprotein has light moisturising properties and is a mild conditioner. It repairs damaged hair and forms a thin layer that makes hair shiny and more combable. This layer also protects against salt water, sun and too-hot blow-drying.
-Riceproteins act like a true sponge and swell when in contact with water. They help maintain the hair's natural moisture and provide a volumising effect.
We use hydrolysed wheat. That means the wheat is made into very small protein particles. This makes it unrecognisable to the body and makes it hypoallergenic.
I have coloured hair, is there a shampoo for that too?
Our shampoo and conditioner do not contain harsh detergents which can fade the colour. Your colour also stays longer. The proteins condition and moisturise the hair and the vitamins from the butters in the shampoo/conditioner nourish the scalp, which has had a lot to endure after dyeing. It is so mild that you can feel free to choose by hair type (dry, fine, oily).
I have sensitive skin/eczema, is this shampoo suitable?
Our shampoo and conditioner are very mild by themselves. They do not contain harsh chemical cleansers like is regular shampoo and conditioner. These cleansers are often the reason it dries out your skin and causes irritation.
We use only natural plant-based ingredients. Vitamin B5 and Vitamin E in our coconut and shea butters condition the scalp. The added natural protein gives your hair the care it needs.
Do you also have shampoo for people with an allergy to Cocamidopropyl Betaine, perfume or dye?
Yes we do! Our shampoo bar Natural is especially for people with an allergy to fragrances, dyes and the substance called Cocamidopropyl Betaine. All our conditioners are free of Cocamidopropyl Betaine anyway.
Is your shampoo suitable for children?
Yes, it is! All our shampoo/conditioner can be used by children. It does not sting the eyes either.
What is the difference between SLS and SLSa?
Sodium Lauryl Sulphate (SLS) is an aggressive foaming agent widely used in shampoo, shower gels and even in our toothpaste. It is a chemical product widely used in cosmetics.
Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate (SLSa) is entirely plant-based. It is a fine powder made from coconut oil and palm oil.
Because the names are so similar, they are often mixed up. But apart from the similarity in the name, they have nothing in common. We only use SLSa and no SLS.
Why do you use palm oil?
We use a small percentage of palm oil. This is because we make sulphate-free shampoo bars. Many shampoo bars that are palm oil-free do contain sulphates such as Sodium Coco Sulfate (SCS) or Sodium Lauryl Sulphate (SLS).
Sulphates are a compound made up of acid residues of sulphuric acid and its salts. It consists of a water-soluble part and an oil-soluble part. The oil-soluble part adheres to dirt and then the water-soluble part causes the dirt to dissolve in water. It produces fine foam, it degreases but most of all it is cheap. But there are drawbacks too: it dries out, more likely to cause irritation and it is especially bad for the environment.
The palm oil we use is only 7% of our total ingredients versus over 70% sulphate-free Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate (SCI). If we didn't use palm oil it would mean making a shampoo bar with over 70% residual hydrochloric acid to get the same effect. The choice is quickly made we think.
My shampoo bar breaks, now what?
There comes a point when the bar becomes thin and can break. Unfortunately, you can't escape this. You can still make full use of the shampoo by, for example, using a soap pouch (some customers use a pantyhose or flannel). Rubbing the bag creates foam and you can still use 100% of the bar and you don't have to throw anything away. https://beesha.nl/natuurlijk-zeepzakje-bamboe/
There are customers who are also handy with re-melting the bar. They save the small pieces. Just heat them up in the microwave or au bain-marie. Not melt until liquid but until it is just soft enough that it has a malleable clay substance. You can then knead the bar into any shape you wish. Just harden for 2 days and then you can use it again.
Getting used to Shampoo Bar
How quickly you get used to a hair soap depends on how often you wash your hair. For some people, a shampoo bar works perfectly right away. But on average, it takes about 2-4 weeks. If you have washed your hair for years with synthetic and often aggressive products, your hair and scalp simply need to recover. After a few washes, your hair may feel a bit greasy. If you have been using shampoo bars for some time, you will notice more volume.

About Beesha
In 2019, Beesha began developing its own Shampoo Bars at a time when supply was limited and quality was often substandard, with harsh ingredients or excessive imports from the East. Beesha opted for a manufacturing process in Almere, with an emphasis on natural ingredients such as Shea Butter and essential oils. The range expanded to Body Butters, Lip Balm and more, with a focus on zero-waste processes, eco-friendly packaging and handmade products, all to minimise the carbon footprint.
