Organic Mascara Lengthening

Avril mascara Allongeant Noir respects the delicate eye area, nourishing and strengthening lashes with just one brushstroke. And it accompanies you all day long!

NOTE: this product replaces the Long Lasting mascara (similar formula) and has changed its composition. The formula of this product is naturally quite dry.

Avril's mascaras are PFAS and microplastics free.

Lengthening mascaras are often drier in composition because they are designed to lengthen lashes by layering and extending them, rather than making them bulky or heavy. So the mascara is not dried out when you receive it, but that is the formula that is supposed to be naturally drier. There are some key reasons why lengthening mascaras feel naturally drier:

1. Higher concentration of fibres: Lengthening mascaras often contain fine fibres that attach to the ends of the lashes to make them look longer. These fibres adhere better to the lashes when the formula is drier, so they stay in place without shifting or clumping.

2. Quick drying time: A drier formula dries faster after application, making it possible to build up multiple layers without the mascara staying "slippery". This allows you to lengthen lashes layer by layer without the mascara sticking together or becoming heavy.

3. Less oily ingredients: Lengthening mascaras often contain less oily ingredients and more wax or film-forming agents that help to maintain length and definition without adding extra volume. This automatically makes the texture a bit drier and ensures that the lashes remain well separated.

The drier formula is thus essential to create length and definition without adding volume, which is typically desired in lengthening mascaras.

Sealing 90% of products are not sealed by brands. For many brands, sustainability is a priority and for that reason they do not want to add unnecessary waste to their packaging. They therefore choose not to seal their products.

Shelf life Products will have a shelf life of at least 3 months, unless otherwise stated with the product.
