Use

A white veil appears on the lead of my pencil, is this normal?

Yes ! This is a phenomenon of crystallisation often observed with organic and natural formulas. This minor cosmetic defect is irrelevant. If this white veil bothers you, just sharpen your pencil. And there we go for a ride!
