Innersense Organic Beauty is a love story between two seasoned beauty professionals who crossed paths and shared a passion for hair, beauty and life. It's our story.

Our dream was to create something bigger than ourselves. Bigger than Joanne’s career as a stylist and platform artist; bigger than Greg’s decades in “big beauty,” where his passion for product development and formulation began. Our conventional behind-the-chair and behind-the-counter beauty experience was just the seed for growth. Personally, professionally, and emotionally.

LIFE'S LESSONS BRING THE GREATEST GIFTS.
This love story is also a story about family. Our brand was born and inspired by our own. Morgan, our firstborn daughter, was diagnosed with a rare genetic condition called “Williams Syndrome” at 22 months old. As young parents, we struggled with not always knowing what to do or where to look for answers. We felt helpless, powerless and afraid. We wanted to raise our daughter in a healthy, conscious and loving environment, but during the darkest days of uncertainty, we struggled to find this within ourselves. It was the simple advice of our spiritual advisor that we clung to the most, his words that ultimately led us out of the darkness: “trust your innermost feelings

While this circumstance is unique to us, it is universal in its humanity. We all struggle to find our way, but when we embrace our challenges as our greatest teachers, accept them, and trust our inner wisdom, we find our way to a life filled with gifts beyond our imagination. This experience has been a catalyst for us to create a life dedicated to mindfulness and purpose, and through the vehicle of beauty, we share the lessons we have learned with the world.

Morgan's arrival, and that of her brother, Max, two years later, were blessings in so many ways: they were the sunlight our seeds needed to thrive, a message from the universe: it's time to slow down and live as simply, healthily, and as purely as possible.

Our commitment to a cleaner, healthier lifestyle for our family paralleled a rising trend in our beloved hair industry: toxin-free beauty. We immersed ourselves in the study of green chemistry and sought answers to why so many of our professional colleagues were being diagnosed with chronic diseases at higher rates than those in other industries. A new life journey began.
