Fushi Fresh-Pressed® 100% pure Neem is often used as a restorative oil to support skin and scalp health.

Neem oil is a powerful restorative oil, containing a range of powerful botanicals, making it a multi-purpose oil for restoring and purifying skin and scalp health. With its nourishing fatty acids and antibacterial properties, neem oil is widely used in Ayurveda to address common skin problems, including dry, flaky skin conditions and blemished skin.

Neem oil is safe but extremely potent. It may cause an adverse reaction in someone with sensitive skin or a skin condition like eczema. If it is your first time using neem oil, first try a small, diluted amount of it on a small area of your skin away from your face.

Neem oil is deeply rooted in Ayurvedic tradition and is widely used in some cultures to treat a range of conditions, even malaria. Science has proven that neem oil has many benefits and can be used cosmetically, medicinally and as a natural pesticide and fungicide. In India, neem oil is a common ingredient in many leading cosmetic products.

Neem oil is extracted from the neem tree, which grows widely across the subcontinent. Our organic neem oil is pressed from the seeds and kernels to get the most potent extract. It provides a range of compounds to keep skin healthy and smooth and can also be used for various purposes in the home and garden.

The oils are pressed from this season's fresh harvest of seeds, nuts and kernels to maintain quality and efficacy.

Use

Organic neem oil for the skin

Rich in beneficial essential fatty acids and vitamin E, neem oil contains significant amounts of oleic, linoleic, palmitic and stearic acids to soothe and replenish. It helps keep skin supple and smooth and does not leave a greasy residue, and its compounds seek out harmful free radicals to combat ageing. Neem oil, best applied just before bed, is highly restorative and can help reduce scars, wrinkles, acne and eczema.

Neem oil at home

Neem oil has pesticide properties and a few drops can be mixed with shampoo to eradicate head lice and treat itchy scalp with dandruff. It can also be used as a very effective spot treatment to eliminate bed bugs.

Neem oil in the garden

As a natural and organic pesticide, Neem oil can be used to help prevent damage by insects and other garden pests. Simply mix 5 ml or a teaspoon of neem oil with 2.5 ml of liquid garden soap. Then add this solution to a litre of water. This can then be safely sprayed on your plants to kill bugs and insects - but be careful if you have ladybirds, as it can hurt them too!

Neem oil insect repellent

Mix 2 parts neem oil with 100 parts coconut oil and apply it generously to the skin whenever you come in contact with biting insects. The aroma provides a very effective deterrent, leading to much less irritation. Neem oil and coconut oil are also great for the skin.

Warnings:

It is not recommended to use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Store out of reach of children. Store in a cool, dry place.

Note: This oil may solidify at colder temperatures. Place the bottle in an area above 25°C to return to a liquid state.

Smell/Colour/Texture The odour, colour and texture of the product may vary from batch to batch due to the natural composition of the product.

Sealing 90% of products are not sealed by brands. For many brands, sustainability is a priority and for that reason they do not want to add unnecessary waste to their packaging. They therefore choose not to seal their products.

Color The actual color of the product may differ from the photo of the article. Lighting of the photo & color differences on screens can display a different color.

Shelf life Products will have a shelf life of at least 3 months, unless otherwise stated with the product.
