The certified organic BEBE SPF 50 sun milk offers the whole family, but especially children under 3 years, a very high 100% natural protection thanks to the anti-UVA and UVB mineral filters. The formula blends very easily with the skin. The baby's skin is hydrated and protected from the sun.

About the Sunscreen

UVBIO is a French brand and according to French regulations, if you use mineral filters, it must have nano on the packaging. Previously, the rule was that a mineral filter was considered a nanomaterial (and therefore with [nano] in the inci list), mainly depending on the proportion of nanoparticles in the formula. Previously, our sunscreens were not considered a nanomaterial. The rule now is that if your product contains a mineral filter, you must put [nano] in the inci list, regardless of the proportion of nanoparticles in the formula. So now our sunscreen must have [nano] in the inci list, but we have not changed the formula

UVBIO products are Cosmos Organic certified. They have strict guidelines regarding nano particles:

The particle size distribution (number of particles) below 100 nm must be less than 50%

The mass distribution (particle weight fraction) below 100 nm must be less than 10%

UVBIO uses particles with a size between 185 and 300 nm. At this size, the particles are much too large to penetrate the epidermis; they remain on the skin surface to fully fulfill their role as a shield against UV rays.

The reason it says nano on the packaging has to do with specific French regulations (it is a French brand) that apply different rules than the rest of the European countries. In the rest of the European countries a guideline for what nano particles are is maintained between 1 - 100 nm.

In France, mineral sunscreens have had the indication [nano] since 1 January 2022.
The reason? Several measurement techniques have been validated at European level, but the French
authorities are currently using a new measurement technique (the CBG), which uses the
aggregates to measure the internal particles. This measurement technique is currently only used in France. International measurement methods, the methods used allow us to:
do not write [nano] on our packaging.

KEEP IN MIND :
1 – Our formulas have not changed.
2 – French measuring techniques have evolved.
3 – Even if we write [nano], there is no skin penetration (supporting evidence with the study), so there is no risk of our sunscreens being found in the body.

Use

Shake the sunscreen well before each use.

Before sun exposure, apply the organic sunscreen milk to the face and body.

Repeat this regularly in sufficient quantities, preferably every 2 hours.

Apply the cream 15 minutes before sun exposure
Make sure your skin is well hydrated
Do not apply the cream to wet skin
Apply to several areas of the skin by gently rubbing the product 2-3 times per area and spreading it gradually.
Don't apply too much at once on one spot, but put some small dots on a piece of skin and then massage the sunscreen in well. Then apply a few more dots on a piece of skin and massage it in. So don't apply too much on one spot and try to rub the entire skin from there.
If a whitish layer is still visible, massage the product very well into the skin to distribute it better.

There are hard pieces in the product, how is that possible?

For example, if the temperature of the product is too low, the sunscreen can become hard. However, if you place it near a heat source for a few minutes, the sunscreen will become liquid again. This is because certain plant oils, such as coconut oil, are not liquid at room temperature. Heat softens the coconut oil and makes it liquid again. All products are good, even if they contain some lumps. These are still solid pieces of oil. By 'shaking before use', as indicated on the packaging, you solve the problem.

The sunscreen can leave stains on clothing or other fabrics. Use only on the skin and let it absorb well to prevent this as much as possible.
