Eau de toilette, Eau de parfum, Eau de cologne
Eau de parfum, eau de toilette and eau de cologne are all terms used to describe the concentration and intensity of fragrances. Each of these perfume categories differs in terms of their fragrance strength, durability and price range.
Eau de parfum (EdP) is the most concentrated form of perfume. It usually contains a high concentration of aromatic compounds, usually between 15% and 20%. Eau de parfum has an intense scent and remains on the skin for a long time. The scent develops gradually and often has several layers or notes. Because of its higher concentration, eau de parfum is usually more expensive than other variants. It is usually applied in small quantities, as the scent can last for a very long time.
Eau de toilette (EdT) is slightly lighter than eau de parfum and usually has a concentration between 5% and 15%. It has a fresh and pleasant scent, but is less intense and does not last as long as eau de parfum. Eau de toilette is popular for everyday use because of its lighter fragrance and is often available in larger bottles than eau de parfum. You may need to reapply eau de toilette throughout the day to keep the scent alive.
Eau de cologne is the most dilute form of perfume, with a concentration of around 2% to 5%. It is light and refreshing, with citrus and spicy notes. Eau de cologne usually has the shortest lifespan of all three categories and must be reapplied regularly. Because of its lower concentration, it is usually cheaper than eau de parfum and eau de toilette.
So the main difference between these categories of perfume is the concentration of aromatic components. The higher the concentration, the stronger and longer the fragrance will be present on the skin. It is important to consider your personal preference, the occasion and the desired effect when choosing between eau de parfum, eau de toilette and eau de cologne.
Use
To take full advantage of our eau de toilette, we recommend spraying a small amount on the parts of the body where you want a pleasant scent. We advise you not to spray directly on clothes, as this may cause stains on the fabric. For effective use, spray once or twice into the hollow of your wrist or the hollow of your neck and then let it air dry. Avoid contact with eyes and keep it out of reach of children. By following these simple tips, you can take full advantage of the soft and subtle scent of our Fleurs de Tiaré eau de toilette.
HOW TO PRESERVE YOUR COLOGNE FOR A LONG-LASTING SCENT
To prolong the life of your cologne, it is important to store it properly. Do not leave the bottle in direct sunlight or in a place that is too warm, as heat can change the fragrance. We recommend storing it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. If you use the eau de toilette regularly, make sure the bottle is tightly closed to prevent air from getting in and shortening the life of the perfume. By following these simple tips, you can enjoy your Eau de Cologne for a long time.
