The advantages of bamboo clothing
There are many advantages of bamboo clothing. It is eco-friendly, silky soft and comfortable, resilient, hypoallergenic and it protects you from the sun. In particular, it affects three major pillars: sustainability, health and comfort. The benefits at a glance:
- Antibacterial and antifungal for the intimate areas
- Hypoallergenic for sensitive skin
- Breathable and moisture-wicking, making you feel fresh anytime, anywhere
- It protects the skin up to UPF 50+
- Silky soft fabric with a comfortable fit
- Thermo-regulating; it keeps you cool in summer and warm in winter
- Anti-static fabric in cold temperatures
- The fit is smooth and close to the skin
- Organically grown bamboo with no pesticides, insecticides and no fertilisers.
- Bamboo only needs rainwater to grow and all water is recycled.
- Improving air quality. Bamboo plantations produce large amounts of oxygen and absorb more carbon dioxide and greenhouse gases.

The production process
- The bamboo is grown organically without fertilisers or pesticides and without irrigation, only rainwater is used.
- Harvesting the bamboo
First the green shoots are cut into chunks of raw bamboo. - Closed Loop System
Next, the bamboo is soaked in a softening agent using a closed loop system - all liquid is recycled and solvents and o and removed to ensure the process is as environmentally friendly as the bamboo. - Dehydration of the bamboo
The dehydration process helps us extract the bamboo pulp from the bamboo, which is then dried into flat sheets. - Grinding the bamboo sheets
When the bamboo sheets are completely dry, they are ground into a soft and hairy material. - Bamboo dust is created:
The soft material is pressed and twisted into viscose yarn that we use to knit our garments. The garments are knitted in tubes, resulting in little fabric waste compared to traditional cut and sew production, which wastes up to 20% more fabric - The Boody end result!
And so a silky soft fabric is created processed as underwear. It feels natural, soft and high-quality. Finally, the packaging is made of recycled paper and printed with vegetable ink.
Washing instructions
As a Bra is quite delicate, we recommend washing it by hand.
Instructions
Fill the (wash) container with cold water or room temperature water. Avoid hot or lukewarm water, as higher temperatures can deform and damage the elastics in bras, altering their shape and fit.
- Add a small amount of detergent. A tablespoon should be enough. More soap is not always better. Instead of making your bras cleaner, extra detergent can leave a filmy residue.
- Enjoy. Swirl the bra around in the mixture and rub the lather into the fabric. Make sure it is saturated and soapy. When choosing how long to soak, consider the material of your bra. Light, delicate lace bras only need ten minutes (the same goes for other delicate garments). If your bras haven't been washed for weeks (or months!), it's best to leave them under water for an hour.
- Rinse . Pour away the soapy water and refill your container with clean water. Rub the clean water into the bra and gently rinse out the soap. Take care not to twist or pull too hard on the bra. If the bra still doesn't look (or smell) spotless, repeat the previous steps.
Towel dry. Remove the clean bra from the water and lay it flat on a towel. Use another towel to pat it dry. Remember not to wring out the bra. The whole point of hand-washing is to be softer than a washing machine!
Air dry. Let the bra dry on a hanger or a drying rack. Heat is another potential source of damage and can change the shape. It is important to remember to hang your bra by the middle part, the part that connects the two cups, and not by the straps. The weight of the wet bra can stretch the straps and cause damage over time.
In case you really don't have time to wash it by hand, you can wash them in the washing machine. To do so, follow the instructions below:
- Remove the pads from the bra. Not removing them can deform them and cause the fabric layer around the pad to come off.
- Put your bras in a mesh bag . Pockets help prevent snagging, tangling and twisting in the washing machine. Any extra layer of protection is better than none.
- Start your cycle . Use cold water and your washing machine's gentle or delicate cycle. Use a mild detergent and wash according to the machine instructions. The less the bra gets mixed up with heavier fabrics that can bend threads or abrade fabrics, the better.
- Air dry. Even if you use a washing machine, it is important to air dry bras. Follow the same methods as described above to avoid the risk of heat damage.
