UVBIO Sun milk SPF20 with carrot extract, coconut and karanja oils provides high natural protection against UVA and UVB rays. Thanks to the mineral filters, UVBIO sun milk is kind to the coral reef. The big advantage? It does NOT leave a white haze!
Coconut oil: Coconut oil conditions and moisturises the skin. It gives the skin all the comfort it needs against sun damage. Thanks to coconut oil, goodbye crocodile skin!
Carrot extract: Carrot is a great ally for skin in the sun! Rich in vitamin A and beta-carotene, it protects the skin from UV rays. Moreover, it ensures a longer tan.
Karanja oil: Besides excellent moisturising properties, karanja oil also has the ability to absorb UVA and UVB rays. A perfect combination in a sun protection product!
About the Sunscreen
UVBIO uses particles with a size between 185 and 300 nm. At this size, the particles are far too large to penetrate the epidermis; they remain on the skin surface to fully perform their role as a screen against UV rays.
The reason it says nano on the packaging has to do with specific French regulations (it is a French brand) which have different rules than the rest of European countries. In the rest of European countries, a guideline for what constitutes nano particles is maintained between 1 - 100 nm.
In France, mineral sunscreens have been labelled [nano] since 1 January 2022.
The reason? Several measurement techniques have been validated at the European level, but the French
authorities are currently using a new measurement technique (the CBG), which measures the
aggregates to measure internal particles. This measurement technique is currently only used in France. International measurement methods allow us to:
do not write [nano] on our packaging.
KEEP IN MIND :
1 - Our formulas have not changed.
2 - French measurement techniques have evolved.
3 - Even if we write [nano], there is no skin penetration (supporting evidence with the study), so there is no risk of our sunscreens being found in the body.
Use
Shake the sunscreen well before each use.
Before sun exposure, apply the sunscreen to the face and body.
Repeat regularly in sufficient quantities, preferably every 2 hours.
- Apply the cream 15 minutes before sun exposure
- Make sure your skin is well moisturised
- Do not apply the cream to wet skin
- Do not apply too much at once to one area, but put some small dots on an area of skin and then massage the sunburn in well. Then apply another few dots on a piece of skin and massage it in. So don't apply a lot to 1 spot and try to rub in the whole skin from there.
- If a whitish layer is still visible, massage the product into the skin very well to distribute it better.
If the temperature of the product is too low, for example, the sun milk can become hard. But if you put it near a heat source for a few minutes, the sun milk becomes liquid again. This is because certain plant oils, such as coconut oil, are not liquid at room temperature. Heat makes the coconut oil soften and liquefy again.
All products are good even if they contain some lumps. These are still solid bits of oil. By 'shaking before use', as indicated on the packaging, you solve the problem.
Sunscreen can leave stains on clothes or other fabrics. Use only on the skin and leave well to avoid this as much as possible.
