Nature Bar Beer Shampoo Bar
Together with local entrepreneurs, Nature Bar combats waste and works together to create a circular economy. Each soap contains a circular core ingredient. Or as Nature Bar likes to call it the magic ingredient. Think of ground coffee from a local coffee roaster. Ingredients that could still be incredibly valuable for your skin, but would otherwise be thrown away.
The special formula of organic oils, beer and rhassoul clay gives your hair an extra lift and healthy look.
Ylang Ylang and Cedar give the solid shampoo a lovely warm floral scent.

MAGICAL (CIRCULAR) INGREDIENT: BEER
Every soap and shampoo bar from Nature Bar has a locally sourced saved ingredient as its core ingredient. This is how we work with local Amsterdam entrepreneurs to create a circular economy. And together we combat waste. In this solid shampoo, Nature Bar incorporates the beer brew (draff) left over after the brewing process from a local Beer Brewery in Amsterdam.
Beer is often brewed with malt and barley. Malt provides lots of volume and barley strengthens hair and combats hair breakage. The natural shampoo bar is therefore a top choice for thin and lifeless hair that could use some extra volume.
Use
Step into the shower and wet your hair thoroughly. Take the solid shampoo bar and lather your hair. You can do this by massaging it directly onto your head, or by foaming it up in your wet hands and spreading the foam over your head. Put the solid shampoo away somewhere where it can dry well. A bamboo soap dish, for example, is ideal. You will see that your hair soap will then last much longer.
Lather up! Now wash your hair as usual, massage the foam through your locks and rinse well.
GET USED TO SHAMPOO BAR
How quickly you get used to a hair soap depends on how often you wash your hair. For some people, a shampoo bar works perfectly right away. But on average, it takes about 2-4 weeks. If you have washed your hair for years with synthetic and often aggressive products, your hair and scalp simply need to recover. After a few washes, your hair may feel a bit greasy. If you have been using shampoo bars for some time, you will notice more volume.
NEED CONDITIONER?
Many people who are used to hair soap say they no longer need conditioner. This is because when using Nature Bar's Beer shampoo bar, your hair retains its natural oils.
TIPS
1. RINSE YOUR HAIR WITH APPLE CIDER VINEGAR
Nature Bar's shampoo bar is made using the cold process method, i.e. real hair soap. Real soap has a pH value of about 8, your skin has a pH value of about 5. Apple vinegar makes your hair softer and gives it more shine. Fortunately, pouring a whole bottle of apple vinegar over your head is not necessary. If you fill a glass for about 2 cm with apple vinegar and fill it further with water, you will come a long way.
2. RINSE YOUR HAIR WITH COLD/WARM WATER
We know especially spicy in winter. But cold/warm water makes your hair cuticles close. And this, in turn, makes your hair less frizzy and dull. Of course, you can also just combine tip one and two.
3. USE HAIR OIL FOR DRY HAIR
Do you have porous or dry hair? Then it may help to use hair oil before combing. Don't use too much as it will become too oily again, often spreading a few drops on the ends is enough. You can use good olive oil or, for example, Argan oil for this.

At the soap workshop in Amsterdam, the natural and circular soap is handmade in small batches, using traditional and artisanal methods. Each nature bar is, like you, unique.
Each Nature Bar natural soap and shampoo bar is handmade based on rich oils, and a magical (circular) key ingredient. For this, we collaborate with local entrepreneurs. We also produce responsibly, from ingredients to packaging materials at every step we take responsibility. For example, all our soaps are vegan and palm oil-free.
