How do you find the right foundation colour?

It is important to find the right foundation colour for your skin tone. Try our samples to make sure you have an exact match.

Remember to match your foundation to your jawline skin tone, and not to your hand (they can be very different).

If a shade looks too drab, it's too pale for you, if it looks orange (even just a little bit!), it's too dark. Mineral foundation also makes it easy to mix shades together.

For help choosing your shade, look at your skin in daylight; you may notice that you have more pinkish or more yellowish tones, so choose a shade that matches the undertones.

Looking at the veins in your wrists can also help; if the veins look blue, you're more likely to have a cool shade, with pink undertones and if the veins look greener, warm undertones and yellowish.

Usage:

It's a good idea to try two or three samples when choosing your foundation shade to make sure you find the perfect match. If a shade looks too drab, it's too pale for you; if it looks orange, it's too dark. Remember: many people need a foundation shade for summer and winter, you can also mix shades to create your perfect match all year round this way.

1. Before you start, make sure your day cream is fully absorbed by the skin; sprinkle a little foundation into the lid of your jar.

2. Use your Super Kabuki brush or Flocked Sponge to swirl in the mineral foundation to absorb the product and tap off excess.

3. Start where coverage is most needed and apply in circular, buffing motions.

4. Continue to apply in light layers until the desired coverage is achieved.

Refill your Mineral Foundation jar with our new, fully recyclable, refillable powder sachet. Tear open the sachet, remove the lid and strainer from your Mineral Foundation jar, pour the entire contents of the pouch into your Mineral Foundation jar and discard your empty sachet.
