Cold-pressed oil rich in a fatty acid (ricinoleic acid) is used to protect the skin and nourish the scalp and hair. Perfect for hair growth of eyelashes, eyebrows and hair growth.
A rich source of ricinoleic acid is a monounsaturated fatty acid that helps deeply hydrate the hair shaft, increasing flexibility. The moisturising effect of pure castor oil reduces breakage and split ends and fights frizz, leaving hair shiny and manageable. Moreover, the anti-inflammatory and antibacterial activity of Ayumi Castor Oil also helps dissolve excess oil and dirt build-up to cleanse the scalp, fight dandruff and soothe conditions that promote hair growth. Its vitamin E and fatty acids also help nourish the scalp. Castor oil also stimulates the scalp, improves blood flow and strengthens the hair root, preventing hair loss.
With its low molecular weight, known for penetrating deep skin layers, this highly moisturising oil replenishes and retains moisture, leaving skin soft and smooth. Ayumi Castor Oil contains antioxidants that repel free radicals and help improve youthful skin. It moisturises, nourishes and softens dry, chapped lips.

Use
It's easy to use cold-pressed castor oil to nourish and maintain your hair. Simply massage it into your scalp with your fingertips and leave it on for 10-15 minutes before rinsing it out. This ensures that the oil soaks deep into the scalp for maximum benefit. You can also use a comb to brush some oil through the rest of your hair for extra nourishment.
For a more intense nourishing treatment, try it at night. Massage the oil into your scalp before bed and cover your head with a shower cap to prevent it from coming into contact with your pillows. In the morning, rinse out the oil and wash as usual with shampoo.
If you have recently coloured or chemically treated your hair, consider diluting cold-pressed castor oil with a base oil, such as coconut or jojoba. This helps prevent hair colour from fading too quickly and reduces possible irritation to sensitive scalps.
Castor oil for the skin
Castor oil is thick in consistency, so it is recommended to mix it with a base oil before applying it to your face. You can also add it to shea butter for extra moisturising results. Apply this mixture to your face before bed, after cleansing your skin. You can leave the oil on overnight or wipe it off with a warm cloth after one to five minutes.
Castor oil for hair
If you are interested in using castor oil for hair growth and thickness, try simply rubbing a few drops of the oil into your scalp. You can also massage a few extra drops of castor oil into the midsection and ends of your hair, which can protect against breakage and improve hair texture.
